Now that the summer vacation are over
and the flying season is slowing down
, it was time to progress with the build.
Got the nose cone done. I used some pink foam from Home Depot to shape it as good as I could. Covered it with 5 coat of water based varnish, wax it 5 time then applied 3 layer of 1oz fiber glass. Not perfect but good enough for a retired sailor.
Made gear doors for the front wheels. Next is the pain of figuring out how it will all work.
I may take an idea I saw on a beach craft plan I have. Trying to avoid installing a servo.
Once that is done, front wheel steering servo will be installed.
Sitting on the ground, it will look like the real thing…..kind of
. This should give you an idea of angle of attack. Something else I could say but I fear I would get in trouble, so I am keeping quiet for a change.
