Jim Goddard

I dedicate the following poem to James Goddard who passed away May 22.

Someday we will know, where the pilots go,
when their work on earth is through.
Where the air is clean and the engines gleam,
and the skies are always blue.

so sad to hear.  Jim's association with our club goes back many years, almost to the formation of the club.

I spent many many days in Jim's company, at the original field on the neiforth farm and at our previous site on Derek's farm.  sadly he never got the chance to fly at our new field. I will miss his companionship and his wonderful and unique sense of humour.

blue skies Jim.

Sorry to hear about Jim, first met him when he used to bring his motorcycle in for repairs, didn't know he flew r/c planes....then met him again at the field, remember a bunch of us looking for the remains of one his planes in the trees behind the house's, at the old field.....found most of the plane , except the bright yellow 4 foot wing.....

Sorry to hear of Jim's passing.  I remember him coming out to a number of our indoors.  I never really had a chance to have much of a conversation with him as he wasn't well at the time.  It's a shame it looked like he really enjoyed the hobby and was a great guy to be around.
