Good Evening Everyone,

As you have heard parts of Nova Scotia have experienced some torrential downpours, there has been a lot of damage to roads, businesses, homes and infrastructure.  Sadly there has also been loss of life. Many planned events have been put on hold including an upcoming fun fly.  Earlier today Sandy McInnis asked me to share the following info with the zone.

The Fun Fly slated for this Saturday(29th) by the Avon Fliers has been postponed till at least the following week.

The entire Windsor area is mourning the loss of 4 people in Saturday’s flooding. Everyone either knows the families directly concerned, or knows someone who does. The Avon executive talked it over and we think it would be insensitive to have a gathering at the field at this time.

Another issue is the condition of the roads in the area. While the 101 will likely be completely passable, the Rawdon road and others may be in question. Since we can't guarantee the safety of modelers coming to the fun fly we feel this is the safest approach.

If any of you want to go fly without the fun fly, feel free.
