difference between the old and the new field
Mar 14th, 2013 at 8:00pm

last night's rain has flooded our old site overnight.  there was no water there yesterday when I walked up to the new field.

pictures made about 5pm today.

nice walk up there today, beautiful day but very windy.

I was surprised at the dryness of the lynch road extension.  I could have driven right to the bottom of the pasture today whereas yesterday when Jordan and I walked up we had to stop at the bottom of the pasture as his sneakers were taking a beating.  a lot of the road yesterday was very muddy and soft.  what a difference a day makes!  even after that heavy rain last night.

the road up over the pasture is still a bit soft, and should not be driven on for a while yet.

The pasture itself is soaking wet and the road around the pasture is very very wet and should NOT be driven on at this time.  see picture below.  those are NOT my tire marks. lol

If buddy had gone much further we'd be using his vehicle for a club house.  lol

the runway is wet but could be flown from today while the pits are still very wet and not comfortable without rubber boots.

still, depending on what we get in terms of weather in the next week or two, we will be flying there soon.

The feild looks great and I know that we will be flying there soon. Can't wait, but we all must use our best judgment when going to the feild until things dry up. We dont need to make a mess that we have to deal with later. I ask all members to take caution getting into the field for the next while.

You guys have a beautiful spot there.  Very lucky to have it.  Quite a difference from the previous location.  I'll have to come down this summer for sure.
