Talyorcraft BC-10
Oct 10th, 2012 at 9:05am

Bought a GP Talyorcraft 25 kit hoping to convert it to electric.  Yucks.   Scratch built the fuselage and used some wing parts, cowl, and windshield, then donated the rest to the Sally-Ann.

Note my assistant…. He’ll probably take all the credit for the good stuff and blame me for the goofs.

The Sandy-proofed landing gear started life as a stop sign.

Very pretty Bill.  what motor are you using in that?  batteries?

sandy proof gear must be titanium mounted and bolted.   Grin

The motor is a 3542-1100 and the battery is a 4S 4,000 mA.  That should handle a slow flying Taylor Crib.

I'll have to check with the Department of Highways to see what the metal is....  Roll Eyes

no such thing......it's never the gear, it's the stuff it's attached to. If that fuse is wood like it appears to be, I could ripper piece of cake  Angry

The landing gear is attached to the fuselage with three nylon screws – to two layers of light ply and a lot of epoxied reinforcements.  It is sandy proof Sandy.

Finally, after many other diversions,  I covered the T-Craft.   Now for the trim and bling, then zoom zoom.

looking good bill.  what are you planning for graphics?

zoom zoom might be a while away, though I have been flying in the school yard three times  in the past week.  once in the rain.

Not sure Al.     I have quite a few pictures of full scale T-Crafts.  Most have simple strips down the fuselage and edging on the leading edges.   I am trying to match red paint to the red trim.

The ID will be C-FWAG and as Uncle Harold points out – there is no W in f*g...  Roll Eyes

Finally, after many diversions.

Got the red trim added to the airframe and the cowl painted.

Now waiting for weather (like three months away) to clear for some zoom zoom
