FUNCUB....

Question about flaps on funcub.......maybe Joe, or Jon can answer.... how did you hook up the servos for the flaps, did you use servo reverser for one, or 2 seperate channels for the servos,as you know if you Y them together, they work like alierons.

not sure.  just checked the flap setup in my Mr. Mulligan.  I just used a y connector into channel 6 on the cap 10 and they work in the same direction.

not sure if this is still the case, but years ago when you got four servos in a radio set, two ran in opposite direction to the other two.  this was in the day before servo reversing though.

are you sure you're in channel six?

Hey Harold. What I did was flip one flap servo over so that both controll horns are the same. You must cut out some foam from the one side of the wing and flip the servo over. Both servos will sit the same way in both sides of the wing, and both controll horns will be the same. Remember... these are not like ailerons... both servos must rotate the same so that both flaps move the same. You do not need a servo reverser or anything like that. All of this took just a few minutes. Hope this helps. They are so worth the effort! Kinda like strykers. Grin Grin

I did the same as Jon and flipped the servo.  However, with a 6 channel setup you could probably plug each flap servo into a seperate channel (one in the flap channel and one in the gear or whatever) and setup a mix in the radio.

is it done yet harold.  I want to see three of them funning around.

your flap question has been bothering me.  so after hours and hours and hours it is rather simple.  Grin

the servo horns just have to be on the same side of each servo. then you get the same direction and throw.

if you have one horn on the left side of one servo and the other on the right side of the second servo you get ailerons.  Both on either the right or the left of both servos and you get flaps.

Cool, try and get as close to 90 degrees full flap as you can.  They work awsome!
