Title: Old school Stearman bipe
Post by Colin2 on Aug 13th, 2020 at 9:22pm
My father-in-law dropped this off to me tonight, it was given to him by the widow of an old friend of his. It's not complete, there are a few parts missing and the fuselage and wings need to be covered, but the fuse and wings are all assembled. It has a 6 foot wingspan. I can't even guess how old this model is, but I plan to at least get it fully built and covered to use as a static model. Does anyone have any info about this particular model? The O.S. engine is also installed, complete with a Master Airscrew prop! I'll take some more pics later of the plane itself.

Have never seen this particular brand Stearman but that OS engine is a powerhouse.

It's the old marutaka/royal Stearman kit. Out of business since the 90's. Made really nice kits , about the best back then. If it's a later kit it might even be all laser cut.
