Title: the future of model making
Post by FLC astroflyer on Jul 14th, 2018 at 8:18pm
Today I saw the future of model making.  Troy Reimer of the Wings of Wellington shows his 3d printed spitfire at the Shearwater Fun Fly.  Troy told me it took about eighty hours to print this airframe on his personal 3d machine.  He said he just set things up and let it go.  The wing and fuselage are printed in several pieces that are later glued together using CA.  amazing stuff this!  A very light and very rigid airframe.
