Title: Ottawa/Gatineau flood
Post by C-GARL on May 10th, 2017 at 8:27pm
good day everyone. nothing to worry for our house as a result of flooding. what we were concerned about was possibility of land slide in part of the yard touching the river running at the end of the property.
now you can see what the small river running into Ottawa river looks like at high tide and at full moon. a pic of low tide will be taken later once the water level goes down.  ;) :D ;D 8-)
i never know we would have tide in land. LOL

i must say that the guy on the other side of the river is not happy for his garage.
Linette and I have now renamed the river as Lac R15.  :P ::) ;)

The other day we were wondering how you were making out with all the flooding Alain.  Glad it hasn't gotten to your house!!

won't say nice photos what with all the potential for damage, but interesting photos.

this is what the river in the backyard normally looks like. water was about 9 feet higher than normal. usually in the spring the water only goes up 4 feet max.
