Heres what things look like to date. 

I submitted dates for the gym rental for our indoor flying season.  We will start our first night on Friday October 17th @7pm to 9pm At Riverside Educaton Centre.  This will be every Friday till the Christmas Break.  We can only get Fridays till Christmas because another group has this night booked starting in January.   
I have tentativly booked the REC gym for Tuesday nights starting on January 6th till March 31st @ 7pm to 9pm on the condition that the gym is available.   There is a high school team using it on Tuesdays and they are waiting for a new floor at the high school. This should be completed before then.(fingers crossed)   
Note: This is a bigger gym then what we had last year.  My hopes are that we can fly the entire season there and we won't have to resort to plan B because I don't have one... yet lol

Good News.. I'm glad to report that the floor is going in nicely at HERH... So i think we have a place to fly all year...

One more week (and a day) till the start of indoor.  See you all next Friday Oct 17th 7pm till 9pm at Riverside Education Center in Milford...

Yes in the new year we do... Another group has Fridays booked... We move to Tuesdays...

I spoke to rec this morning and another group already has monday nights booked... :(   Unless we find another school till the new year, our indoor flying is going to be limited to the few nights we have on Fridays.  That said there is an inservice this Friday and next week is Halloween.  Not good news.

Hi Guys,

I'd like to invite you to come join us at HEFA's upcoming indoor session at the Porters Lake Community Centre on Sat 22 Nov from 11:30 to 2 pm.  This might help take the sting out of missing out on some indoor flying at your venue.

This is our first time in this place, but it is a nice new facility with quite a bit of room (double gym) and a high ceiling, so I think everyone will be quite happy with it.

Anyone with a MAAC membership is welcome and the fee will be $10 for 2-1/2 hours of flying.

Good News Guys....

I was able to bully the (REC) school into giving me Monday nights for the entire flying season...  We will still be flying this friday night on Nov 7th (7 to 9pm) and starting our new night on Monday Nov 10th (7 to 9PM).  We are booked till March 30th 2015.   

As far as I can see there are no inservices or days off with the exception of the February 16th Holiday and the Monday of March Break.

Great turn out for indoor.  We are moving to our new night on Monday Nov 10th.  7 to 9 pm  that said I got my mcpx put back together but I bought the wrong linkages (NANO) :(  anyone spare a linkage for an mcpx ? :)

It's in Milford Steve.  Exit nine right onto highway 14  (first exit off the rotary) then turn right at the lights, go about one kilometer to riverside drive, school is right there. Gym doors on the right will be unlocked.

Although wishful thinking.  No we are not flying as all schools will be closed during the Christmas Break.  We will resume indoor on January 5 2015. 

Would be nice to have an indoor session during the break, as most of us will have a new toy or two that we might want to try out... :)

Well, the reason I asked is because we are looking to organize an indoor session at Porters Lake over the holidays.  I was actually thinking that Monday the 29th might be a good day for it, if you guys weren't flying that evening.  I will let you know what we come up with.

We are going into our tenth week at our new flying site and I'm getting the sense that everyone is enjoying themselves so far. That said. I feel that in celebration of this occasion and of course my successful flight of my 450x yesterday, "WE WILL FLY FOR FREE TONIGHT".  :)  I may bring the 450x for hover practice tonight if thats ok?

Just a heads up if anyone is interested.  There will be flying during March Break at NSCC in Stellarton on Monday Night 5:30 to 9:30.

Indoor at NSCC has been cancelled for this evening in case anyone was thinking about going.

They have had to close the school for the next 3 days so that they can deal with the snow accumulation on the roof.

Thanks for the heads up Ben.  Ready wasn't planning on tonight due to the roads, but plan on getting over soon to see you guys.
