Rob Guildford and I have been putting on an aviation day for the students in Dianne Randall's grade two class at Brookhouse school in Dartmouth for the past few years.  It's a really good time and Rob and I have a lot of fun doing this.

here in the first picture rob, using his dehavilland beaver as a prop, gives a basic talk on how airplanes fly.

photo two:  aerodynamics grade two style.  the kids are always enthusiastic and in fact surprise  you with how much they know about airplanes.

as part of the afternoon we get the students (24 this year) to build a basic paper glider and then hold a contest in the gymnasium, the winners being the three who can get them to fly the furthest.  we present a trophy Rob made up for first and a gliders and kites for second and third prizes.  in addition all students get a small foam glider to take home.
