Posted this on NRCM but maybe one of you lads could also comment  :)

Hi guys, can anyone tell me pros or cons on ordering from HobbyKing USA or from the Global (Hong Kong) if a particular item is available at both

haven't tried the US warehouse yet frank, but there has been some complaining on rccanada about no other shipping option than UPS.  expensive and they collect brokerage fees which got the biggest complaints.

I'll second Als comment. I ordered a $160 item with $40 shipping and got a $70 UPS brokerage/ripoff fee thrown on top.

If they'd use usps - now then it may become interesting, although the product range is somewhat limited compared to the international warehouse anyway.

I've had the same problem with UPS as well. Brokerage fees and also they broke three mustang wings in a row when horizon hobby sent me replacement wings under warranty. Horizon finally sent the fourth wing via USPS and it arrived in perfect condition.
Personally, I'll never buy from a company that ships UPS.
