Time to start flying gents
Apr 23rd, 2018 at 7:00pm

Checked the field this afternoon and am amazed.  The road is totally dry right up to the pits.  No problem getting up there.  The wet spot at the top where we turn onto the pasture is still a bit damp, but we can go around it or through it...whatever.   The spot at the bottom of the hill that is always wet is totally dry, NO water.

This is great to hear.  I haven't had a chance to get up to see how everything is. I have been helping my son build his camp and I will be for the next weekend or 2, but after that i am looking forward to getting out to play airplanes.

I thought that I would update everyone. I wanted t go up to  get the mower going, as we are all going to need this soon. After it was running and looking good, I decided to take a drive with it up to the field to see how it looked. The road is wet but unless we get lots of rain overnight, its basically the same as what dad had described it a week ago. While I was there I gave the runway a little trim. It is in good shape, a little wet in the usual spots and the pitts is really wet so I didn't cut it. The weather looks good for Saturday and Sunday, so I am hoping to get out to play airplanes this weekend. I have brand new batteries just waiting to get tortured Cheesy

Too much wind today. I am going to help my son with his camp instead.  I will try for tomorrow.

Around ten for me as well.  Took the dog for a walk up there tonight.  The field looks great. Thanks for mowing it Jon!

Still wet in the pits.  Boots would be a good idea..
