I have the mower at my place to get some work done on it. I will inform you once it's back.

The mower is back. The deck brake is now working perfectly the oil and filter has been changed, adjusted the carb so you should not need the choke when the engine is warm to start it. The cutting deck has been adjusted so it should cut level and inspected so all is good.

It will need gas soon as it's almoast empty.

Thank you Eric, all this is very much appreciated. I cant remember a time when the deck brake worked. That will really help.

I have the gas can and will pick up gas on the way to the field tomorrow.
