Good Day Gents

Al and I spoke earlier about preparing for this years indoor flying season.  We wanted to get the word out there to see how much interest there was before we commit to booking a gym for the season.  I will contact the REC school to see what nights are available and provide and update on what we have to work with.   We hope to get the same gym as last year, but we are booking quite late in the season. So fingers crossed.

Good Morning

I was in contact with REC and we can book the gym for Monday nights if we choose to do so.   We still need to determine if there is enough interest from the group before we move forward.

Matt Jack wants to fly indoor again this year as well.

Note that all rc flyers are welcome at our indoor at any time , not just club members.

We're a pretty laid back group that just likes to have fun and this has been pretty apparent at our indoors. 

So if anyone else is interested,  let us know.  There is a fixed cost for the gym and we'd like to have an idea of attendance. We generally divide that fixed cost by the number of flyers.   

Man, I would love to join in but to traveling would be way to much for just a couple of hours.  ;D
sorry, no can do this winter. Hope you get a shit load of people every week.  ::) ;) ;D

I have some good news and some even better news... The good news is that we are starting our indoor on Monday November 2nd 2015 at the REC school in Milford.  The better news is that we have a new start time of 6pm and we will end at 9pm...YES!!! You're reading this right, we are flying for 3 hours now. So get your batteries and the foam safe out... Oh and I almost forgot.... Cost for flying indoor this year is $0

That said... Have a great day guys and I hope to see you on Monday Night...

Gentleman

We will be flying indoors tonight starting @ 6 till 9 pm (3 hours) at the Riverside Education Center in Milford.  All are welcome to fly and we hope this will be our best year of indoor yet.   We have the gym booked every Monday evening from now until the first week of April 2016.   Please note that the school has priority of the gym and any school activities or events will take precedence. We will post on this forum of any changes that may need to be communicated.

Al, According to the REC website, there are no classes that day. I imagine no indoor flying either.
Joe,  I bought the other two flags the store had in stock. I now have three.

We will be flying at REC tonight from 6 to 9 tonight.  I will a bit late getting there.

Gawd Shawn, the poor guy out on bail for the first time this winter and you had to intimidate him like that.  lol

I needed to make up for lost time AL and if I was picking on him that means I was leaving everyone else alone. Lol

I am going to hit the sim hard this spring so that I can double my flight time from 18 to 36 seconds before I plow my mcpx into the wall!!  ;)

That crash turned out to be a great test of my shiny new metal swash which seemed to hold up well. Interestingly for the first time I can remember I broke both of the head links and popped all of the servo to swash links off.

It seems like it is transferring a lot more force to the linkages then the plastic swash would which I think is a good thing?

Just a quick note that will be a slight delay in flight times due to a basketball game for March 7th.  The gym will be available at 7:30 pm.

Gentlemen, just a reminder there will be no indoor on March 14th due to the school march break.  We will resume on the following Monday March 21st.

The snowstorm has most schools closed throughout the province including ours here in Milford, so no indoor tonight.

And with next Monday being Easter, looks like this season's indoor is officially over.

Just a friendly heads up who still want to fly some indoor. NRCM has the the NSCC Gym in Stellarton Monday nights from 5:30 to 9:30pm until the first week of May.  You are all welcome to join us.

There is no indoor Easter Monday for us.
